Zestar Tip of the Month: Use the Shopping List to Guide Your Meals

As part of our weekly blog posts, Zestar will feature a tip of the month to help make it easier for you to incorporate Zestar into your daily routine so you can focus on achieving your weight loss goals. Each day, Zestar recommends meals and snacks that are based on nutritious foods that will help satisfy your hunger longer and maintain your energy level while you lose weight. The shopping list feature is a great tool to guide your grocery planning so you will have the recommended food on hand. Your shopping list will include foods like:

  • Lean proteins such as chicken, pork, fish, turkey and extra lean hamburger
  • Veggies like salad greens, broccoli, carrots and other fresh or frozen varieties
  • Fruits such as apples, pears, bananas, grapes and oranges
  • Low fat or skim milk, high protein greek yogurt, low fat cheese
  • Broth-based soups

Tap the “Food” button for a more detailed shopping list of specific foods you will want to consider buying. If you don’t want the day’s recommendation for a meal, tap the “Recommend Something Else” to get a list of substitutes to choose what you already have in your fridge or pantry. Don’t forget to look ahead to tomorrow and request additional recommendations for those meals too. You’ll breeze through each day by just tapping “I Ate This” after each meal.
